Day1: Taiyuan-Pingyao
SXCITC guide will meet you at the Taiyuan airport or your hotel lobby. Then take the private car to Pingyao, the world cultural heritage, the most well-preserved ancient city in china and the only ancient walled city of the Han nationality. Visit the Ancient City Wall, one of the four grand ancient city walls in china. Entering into the city, you will find the people in the city still maintain the traditional living habits and customs. After lunch at a local folklore restaurant, visit RiShengchang Draft Bank, the forerunner of the first bank in china. Then, you will take a walk along the Ming and Qing Street (Chinese Wall Street) to fully appreciate the atmosphere of this ancient city. Stay at Pingyao folklore hotel.
Day2: Pingyao-Taiyuan
Your sightseeing this morning is theChang's Family Compound, a splendid group of houses constructed during the Qing Dynasty and the residence of the most successful solar-traders in china. Transfer to theAncient Hougou Village, the only ancient hamlet in China designated as a farming heritage site of Ming and Qing dynasty. Transfer to the airport or train station.
