Contents: The first Festival of Tracing Roots and Worshiping Ancestors were inaugurated on April 5, 1991, to attract domestic and overseas Chinese to return to their hometown and worship their ancestors, thereby enhancing their patriotic feelings. Since then, the festival has been held at the scheduled rune every year, during which the participants could trace their genealogical trees, worship their ancestors, watch acrobatic shows, local operas and folk performances, and tour local places of interests and cultural sites.

The largest Temple Enshrining and Worshiping Guan Yu in the country is in the Xiezhou County, attracting thousands of worshipers from all over the country and the world.


The Festival of Red Autumn Leaves in Lingchuan County

Contents: The red autumn leaves of Lingchuan County are excellent works of Mother Nature. The area between the Laohuaishu (Old Pagoda Tree) Ridge, south to the county seat, and the northern section of the Huoling (Fire) Ridge (from Huaishuling Village, Lucheng County to Mayijie Village) is the major scenic area of the red leaves of Lingchuan. The red scenic area is composed of four major parts: Lovers, Dreams Come True, Eternal Youth and Crimson Sunset.
